Horrific experience with Dr. Karen Toubi. This is my personal experience. I am speaking on my experience. She damaged my C/ the nerves on my C and I can no longer O at all. It has been over a year since this has happened. This was the worst medical experience of my life. She is not knowledgable on what she treats. She is careless. not a smart doctor. It is so unfortunate I found her and decided to come to her, I would do anything to be able to go back and stop myself from going to her.
Please do your research, make sure to always ask a doctor as many questions as possible. make sure they truly understand what happens during treatment, make sure they understand the intimate parts of the body, how the nerves work, how the equipment in treatment works when interacting with it, and during treatments, be on top of them because these doctors can become careless and make one wrong idiotic move, and then show you they actually have no idea what this body part is, what the nerves are, what they're doing at all. etc. Unfortunately, this was the doctor's responsibility and I trusted her, and she made a life changing mistake in treatment (Cliovana). The behavior that followed from this doctor was unacceptable, disgusting. Same with the manager (Candy) a nasty, unprofessional, just cruel person.
Make sure the doctor really knows the anatomy, TEST them, bring up concerns, do not jump into any treatment just because the doctor is super nice to you and the location is in beverly hills. Focus on their education, focus on how they speak, and how they speak about your situation in each session, see if they are truly listening and remember the important things they of course should remember! Make sure they remember your situation and how careful they need to be. Make sure to repeat what you tell her each session, because she will not remember and act clueless. Even make sure the notes the assistant nurse jots down are correct and that they're listening to what you are saying! I think the most important thing is to repeat your situation Dr. Toubi during the treatment. Make sure she is paying attention and knows what she is doing with the equipment, I am not sure how but...
Ive been deeply depressed for over a year since she did this to my body. I never thought I'd have such a lifechanging, negative, medical experience, and so early in life as well. When coming in, I already had previous damage on my C. I had one side that had a bunch of totally functioning and normal nerves. I had that side, that was not damaged. I stated it countless times, I had some of it still there, it wasn't completely damaged, and she knew this. I repeated my situation in detail, so many times with her. I only came in to focus on the wounded section, not the section that was fine.
In the least treatment, she suddenly said, "I will now go and spread the nerves on your C". This is not in the instructions. This is not something she did in the first 3 treatments of Cliovana. In the last Cliovana session, she went directly on the nerves with the soundwave. She went on the exact spot that was not damaged- with the soundwave cliovana- pushed into it, spread the 'wand' back and forth. She pushed down and spread it across back and forth a few times, and the nerves were suddenly feeling way different. The pleasure was all gone and it felt so bad, but I thought it could just be overstimulated. I thought nothing of it until I arrived home, and realized what had happened. And more symptoms and pain came... I have no functioning nerves since, and it's been over a year. I'm worried for other women who go to her after my experience. I personally want to just say from my experience, I would be cautious in doing treatments with this doctor. If anyone has issues with their C, I would go to someone else who is way more educated in it. From my situation and experience, she does not understand the (C area). To put it into perspective it’s like going in for a minor procedure for lets say your leg, and the surgeon suddenly decides to cut straight into your achilles heal for no reason and now you can't walk. That’s what happened to my body, only with my private area, my C area! Dr. Toubi, is not a good doctor. I'll never forgive her for taking my ability to O and retraumatizing me. How could you be so careless? She has not checked on me since she did this to me. Dr. Toubi said herself in the beginning treatments you are only supposed to apply the cliovana equipment around the C', because the nerves are too sensitive to interact with soundwave.... and then in the last treatment, she went directly on the C anyways, in the last minutes of the treatment. It was all so sudden and I trusted her during this treatment. And when I asked her why she did this, she did not have an answer. UNACCEPTABLE. I don't know what came over her to make such a decision to my body, especially in my damn situation. It's insane. Her behavior and how she spoke to me afterwards, was so mentally painful. It was all so traumatic and shocking. It's just sharp down there now, totally muted, stings, and tingles, and hurts. It's been over a year. It's unacceptable. So unprofessional, so uneducated, and careless. This is my personal experience and opinion. I hope no one ever has the experience I had because it's not easy to live with this. Life has been hell. No one deserves this kind of suffering and misery. Please be careful, do your research, take your time.

Dr. Patel has an incredible bedside manner and is very kind. I typically prefer a female provider, but I’ve seen Dr. Patel several times for care and have always felt I was in safe hands. I recommend him and this practice without reservation.
